11. Payment of wages to contractual employee.- Where the employees are employed in an establishment through a contractor, the company or firm or association or any other person who is the proprietor of the establishment shall pay to the contractor, the amount payable in respect of the wages of employees in accordance with the provisions of the CodeDefined in rule 2(g): Code means the Code on Wages, 2019 (29 of 2019).
Explanation: -For the purpose of this rule, the expression "firm" shall have the meaning as assigned to it in the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (9 of 1932).
